Hi, I am Anna!

I am a whitewater kayaker from Prague, Czechia. Kayaking has been a huge part of my life for nine years already and nothing brings me more joy. I love where it can take you. Big waves. Paddling when it snows. I love it when I send a nice boof (yes it does happen sometimes :D). I love smiling to other kayakers on the river and them smiling back. I love how kayaking brings people together. I am grateful for the many amazing people I have met on my journey who inspired me, became my friends, and who I could learn from. My goal is to keep kayaking and getting better at it, to keep having fun, and to inspire others to get out on the water too.

Results

My best international result is 4th place at the King of the Alps 2022 extreme kayak championship finals, I qualified from the 10th position for the Ekstremsport Veko World Championships in 2024, and for several years, I have been dominating in local kayakcross and creek slalom competitions in Czechia.

However, what I value more than fighting for the race results is showing up at the events, meeting people and sharing experiences together in the kayaking community, and having a good time with friends on and off the water.

Europe and beyond

The Alps, the UK, or Norway – I’ve travelled to many of Europe’s classic kayaking destinations. From countless weeks and weekend trips to Austria, occasional trips to France and Switzerland, and regularly coming back to Italy’s Passer Valley, to frequently chasing rain in Wales and Scotland or spending two entire summers in Norway… I have always dreamed of going further though.

Starting my overseas travels with an amazing Ecuador trip and spending a whole month paddling multidays in the Himalayas of Nepal was where my dreams came true, and the plans? They’re only getting bigger.
